Natsuki (ナツキ?, Natsuki) is a minor character in the fifth season, FLCL: Shoegaze. She is the sister of Harumi Araishu in the alternate dimension.
Profile[]
After being shot by a sniper, Harumi is transformed into a pink ghost, who watches Kana Koumoto and Masaki Aofuji trying to save her. She then comes in contact with the bird that Masaki said was on top of the Tsuganei tower, who suddenly transports her into another dimension 10 years into the past.
Upon arriving, she sees her 5 year old self aboard a rocket shuttle, revealing that Harumi was originally a boy who was traveling with his sister, Natsuki, and their parents to Mars. After arriving at the colony, just as Harumi runs ahead and calls out to Natsuki, he is caught in a time-space rift caused by a then 17 year old Kana Koumoto during the final battle in "Full Flat".
Harumi soon finds himself back on Earth, but now in the body of a girl waiting outside of a candy shop. He is then greeted by Akie Araishu, his older sister in the new dimension, who comes out and begins to tease her younger sister by bragging that she will be eating the natto and cream of corn flavored umaibo (corn puff stick). As the frightened and confused Harumi tries to understand what just happened, Akie gives her little sister a strange look and points out that they are at the candy shop because Harumi wanted a ramune before telling her that they need to hurry back home.
10 years later, prior to the main storyline, as Harumi puts the final touches on her school uniform and makeup before the first day of school, Akie is heard arguing with their parents about Harumi's odd fashion choice. While tying her hair and looking into the mirror, Harumi mentions that her particular hair style was to serve as proof that Natsuki had once existed and was not simply an imaginary friend, but a precious person that she did not want to be separated from.
As Masaki's N.O. power activated the accelerator within Tsuganei Tower, Harumi is transported back into her body, albeit with part of her body now glowing. She revealed the reason why she went to the tower with him in the first place: knowing that he could draw things that only he could see, in exchange for accompanying him, she wanted Maaski to draw a portrait of someone important to her that she lost 10 years ago, as no one believed her when she told them about Natsuki. Masaki's power overloads the accelerator, causing the two worlds begin to merge. The two share a kiss before a flying fish emerges from Masaki's head and consumes the manifold, ending the merger. Upon waking up, he finds out that Harumi's presence had been erased from his world.
Sometime later, the male Harumi is shown on Mars and leaving for school with the now teenage Natsuki. As the two siblings walk to school and discuss Harumi's sudden addiction to candy, Masaki is heard calling out to Harumi.

She has long brown hair that extends past her shoulder, with one side tied into a braid in front and several colorful clips on the other side. She wore a pastel blue sundress with a pink sweater. In the timeskip, she is shown wearing the same white and blue high school uniform as Harumi, but with a skirt instead. She sports a shorter haircut, but still has the braid and hairclips in front.
