Director Yamaguchi (山口?, Yamaguchi) is a character in FLCL: Grunge. He is the executive director of Medical Mechanica.

Director Yamaguchi is introduced as the executive director of Medical Mechanica when he arrives at Miyabi Sushi in order to discuss the arrival of Commander Amarao with Mayor Kuroiwa.
Yamaguchi claims to be from Ukuoka which is known for having lovely beaches and reminisces about spending each day at the beach when he was little, and claimed to get sunburnt during the summer. However, it's possible this never occurred as he is a robot and would not have the ability to be sunburnt. It's likely these are false memories that were added into his programming by Medical Mechanica.
While eating and talking with Kuroiwa, Yamaguchi is then given a piece of sushi with a hidden USB drive by Haruko which ends up infecting him with a virus, causing an alarm to go off throughout the city, he then pulls on a cord found within his stomach and ends up flying away from the restaurant.
