Champ is a minor character in FLCL Progressive who works as a mechanic for the Bureau of Interstellar Immigration. He briefly appears in the fifth episode, "Fool on the Planet".

As Masurao and Eye Patch drive up to the gate that leads to the Bureau's Orbit Area Elevator in Ohzu, Champ walks up to the driver's side and greets Eye Patch in a friendly manner. The two talk about working hard for tomorrow, as Champ mentions that he is saving up money.
After pointing out that they are not that far from the warehouse, Champ then walks around to the back of their truck where he picks up the head of Canti but then immediately drops it due to its weight. Masurao gets upset, but Eye Patch laughs and reassures Champ that it is just junk and not to worry about it.
