Advice is a song by Japanese rock group The Pillows. It is featured in multiple episodes of FLCL, when Naota Nandaba's horn begins to emerge and spawn a robot, usually in front of Mamimi Samejima. In "Marquis de Carabas", it is played when Eri Ninamori spawns a robot in front of Naota and their classmates.
It is also featured in Season 4, FLCL: Grunge in the first episode, "Shinpachi", when Haruko Haruhara is confronted by the mayor of Okura and his army of yakuza, riot police and security detail.
The original version of the song is sung entirely in English and is used in "Marquis de Carabas", while the version that is featured in the other FLCL episodes is an instrumental arrangement titled "Advice [FLCL Arrange Version]", replacing the vocals with lead guitar fills.
Originally released on the band's 1999 album, Happy Bivouac, it is included in the second FLCL OST album, FLCL No.1 Addict as the instrumental version, while the third OST, FLCL No.3, features the original version with vocals.
Lyrics[]
Take that seriously because it's important
Please, don't lose your temper, don't get excited
I still have a great deal more to tell you
I want to see you again someday (Ooh-ooh)
So, leave me alone. Away with you! (Ooh-ooh)
Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah!
You are good for nothing, also mocker
You are rotten at inside and outside
Tidy yourself up! Shame on you!
I don't dislike you, but I don't make friends
I want to see you again someday (Ooh-ooh)
So, leave me alone. Away with you! (Ooh-ooh)
Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah!
I want to see you again someday (Ooh-ooh)
So leave me alone. Away with you! (Ooh-ooh)
Everyone told me that I was wrong
I have nothing to do with it!
They gave me a lot of advice
I don't want to have anything to do with you!
Thank you!
